Editing Your New CMS Website

Editing the content of your website is easy once you become familiar with the process.

The first step is to login with your username and password. Once you are logged in navigate to a page you wish to edit.

Once you are on the page you wish to edit click the "edit" tab next to the "view" tab. Please note that if you don't see the "edit" tab you may not have permissions to edit content, if this is an issue please contact the website administrator.

When you are in "edit" mode you will see a "Title" and "Body." For the most part all edits you make on your website will be done in the "Body" section.

If you plan to paste in text from a word processing applicaation such as Microsoft Word, we strongly recommend using the Paste as plain text mode. To do this, first copy the text you will be adding. Click the small "Paste as plain text" icon in the top menu bar of the Body: editing window. It looks like a clipboard with a small letter "T" on it. Paste your text into the pop-up window and click OK.

Format your text by selecting parts of it and applying formatting by clicking the icons in the menu bar. This prodedure prevents a lot of extraneous code from the word processing program from interferring with proper text styling of your website.

After making your changes to the content scroll to the bottom of the page and select "Preview." Once you have confirmed in "Preview" mode that the changes are what you wanted go ahead and press "Submit" to make the changes. Please note there is no undo or reverting of changes made so be sure to use "Preview" when possible.

Some pages (such as online forms) may not be editable. For changes to these, please contact the website administrator.
