The San Diego Web Design Firm, Green Bird Media worked hand-in-hand with Emily Mace, Director of Harvard Square Library, to design and develop a content management solution that was right for their organization. We came together to plan the content architecture, decide on the best CMS (content management system) for the job, and give the users of Harvard Square Library a great experience.
We chose WordPress for this project as it allowed for the use of a powerful tool to curate content into Books, Chapters, Series, and more. This was a primary objective of the new website, make content easier to find, search and use. We believe that the final solution that we came up with for this organization will serve them well into the future with the ability to expand and grow with the organization.
Some of the highlights of this project are:
- Home Page Date Slider (displays slide corresponding with today’s date) [Calendar to pick another date]
- Integrated the Social Media and Donations metrics into the design
- Content Organized into searchable context areas
- Table of Contents for each Category
- Advanced Search Tools
