The problem of hunger is a personal one. The goal of the San Diego Hunger Coalition–and their new website–is to connect supporters on a personal and emotional level with those they can help.
Green Bird Media accomplished that goal for the San Diego Hunger Coalition with bright, vivid photographs of adults and children that create an emotional connection with visitors. Featuring eye catching orange, green, and a deep blue, the design leaps out of the screen and grabs attention. The bright colors are reflected in the fruit, vegetables, and other healthy snacks on display to reinforce the importance of healthy eating.
Each photograph correlates with a hunger fighting tool supported by San Diego Hunger Coalition–Food Stamps, Farmers Markets, School Breakfasts and Summer Lunches.
The recent news section displayed on the home page allows SDHC employees to share valuable hunger related news and information, either from within the organization or from outside sources. The nonprofit Drupal website gives the San Diego Hunger Coalition a home on the web to integrate donation acceptance, social media, volunteer and advocacy information, and many more important functions of a nonprofit.
